(It should be terrifying. At the very least, it should be intimidating, but mostly, Danny just feels starved. Even just a year ago he would have scoffed at the idea of any guy calling him baby, but suddenly he completely understands why so many people like the petname.)

That's a big promise. (As they step outside, Danny's eyes move over to the car and then back to Corry. The guy dressed nice enough that it's not a total surprise, but Danny still can't help but raise his brows all the same. He can sense the slight alertness and it's on the tip of his tongue to make a kidnapping joke.
