It speaks to the wolves sheer exhaustion how Kurt's shrill squeak upon being scooped doesn't rouse any of them. Hunting and keeping watch and trying to satisfy their needy mate must be truly debilitating work. And now they've been snatched up by a scoundrel, a fiend, with no one awake to rescue them! How awful!
