courtinsession: ([up] cocky bastard)
Gods above, finally. Corrigan and the pack had been following closely, subtly guiding the little human deeper and deeper into the woods -- a rustle here, a thickening of shadows here, just slight cues that they should turn one way instead of another. And it had been a pain in the ass, the whole time. Kai kept goofing off, snapping at Leo's tail until he was grumbling and huffing, Benji switched between drooling after the prey and chasing butterflies, and Naseer was giving Corrigan a look which plainly said if I don't get out of the woods and back into bed with someone in ten minutes I'm gonna shred your pillow.

But there, the moment -- the cabin was only yards away, hidden behind a craggy overhang of rock and the bend in the stream, and the human had turned, defiant and huffy and tiny. It was perfect.

"Oh, but you see," Corrigan called out, shifting out of his wolfish form and into his muscled, lean, sharp-fanged humanoid one. He stepped out of the bushes, fur along his spine, hands ending in claws, feral and ferocious and grinning. "We are in the mood for a game, little one."

Around him, the pack appeared, hanving surrounded the little human. Kai emerged from the bushes, grabbing both the youth's slender arms and pinning them behind their back, his hair loose, eyes glinting, tongue gliding over his lips. "Mmmm, you smell too damn good," he growled, ducking his head and burying his stubbly face into the humans neck, inhaling deeply.

Scowling, Benji leapt forward as well, grabbing the human by the waist. "Don't hog them, I want to smell too!"

Corrigan suppressed a heavy sigh, his dramatic moment thoroughly ruined. Again.
